DESIGN PROCESS: VISUAL COMMUNICATION
"This course is designed for students interested in learning more about design process, and about
ways of making the most of the visual design skills they possess. Design Process is a course
dedicated to the connections between visual communication (image, type, motion, and sound),
digital media and methods of making."
DIGITAL INK
"Modified: "Electronic paper" is a general term used to describe a wide variety of emerging technologies
that, like screens, are capable of displaying dynamic images, but, unlike screens, are reactive and
increasingly "soft" (for example, rollable) surfaces. This collab will work with the physical limitations
of one current prototype, the iRex Iliad, but speculate on the possible applications, interfaces, and
contexts that designers will be working with."
THESIS STUDIO 1 w/ WRITING AND RESEARCH
"The thesis is the systematic study of a design question. It requires students to identify an idea
and area of study, research its major assumptions and precedents, explain the significance of the
undertaking, set forth the process and method for proposing solutions, create prototypes, and
offer a conclusion through the production of a body of work."
