How the BigMac Ruined the World: an ARG by Katrina, Mike and TracyEver wonder how a BigMac affects your world? Taking its inspiration from the movie The Game (starring Michael Douglas), and the article “Why I Love Bees” by Jane McGonigal (discussing the ARG created to release the new Halo game), this ARG works backwards to lead players to something they would never suspect – the Big Mac. From the very beginning, players don’t know that the game even involves a Big Mac. All they know is that they have been asked to participate, follow clues, go on missions, and document (via video and still photos) what they see and experience along the way.

Re:Activism NYC: The New York City draft riots of July 1863-The New York City draft riots of July 1863 were American history's most powerful working-class uprising, yet they have been neglected by historians. -It was also known as Manhattan's bloodiest street war. -When the Confederacy invaded the North in June 1863, nearly every soldier in New York was sent to Gettysburg. Only 2,500 soldiers, sailors, and marines and 2,300 police remained to keep order in an angry city. -The newly instituted draft was wildly unpopular. Exemptions were available only to those who could pay $300 (then the average workingman's annual income).
