questions with tutorials
everything's been fine up to tutorial 14. although since i don't have much knowledge of MIDI nor memory of how to read notes / musical concepts, it takes a bit for me to register what pitch makes what sound and what note makes what sound, what is a parallel major triad, which one is the high C on the keyboard...
i have a question in 14 about why "the velocity that is sent out the right outlet depends on how high the mouse is placed on the key you are playing"? this is on page 46 of the tutorial. is this something set in the kslider or was it just something set in that specific patch?
in tutorial 15:
i don't seem to understand how patch 5 works, i can only seem to get sound out when i change the 96 to 64 and when i change "makenote 15 125" to "makenote 150 125".
are the patches supposed to work when you open it or do you have to manipulate it?
tutorial 16:
same thing, initially i can't hear any sound from patch 1. only after i added some makenote patch and when i drag the number box between sel 0 and bendout a 1 i can hear the effects of bendout.

you should post questions like this on itp-sound. but here are some answers:
1) it's something in kslider. the higher you press the key on the kslider, the bigger the velocity value sent out the right inlet.
2) it's playing, but makenote 15 125 plays a very soft note for 125 ms, so you probably can't hear it!
