Guest Speaker Response

Dan Phiffer’s presentation on Friday was very fun and amazed at the same time for me. My dad graduated Harvy Mudd College and majored in Computer Science also. It was very interesting to see my dad’s alumni as a speaker. He showed his two major project, the Shift space website: http://www.shiftspace.org/ and his processing work of google earth. After his presentation I actually tried downloading the shift space and use them in websites. It was little complicated for use for the fist time user but i found out that i will be useful for future to save my research information, like when writing a research papers. His processing work of google earth was so AMAZING to me since I know how hard to program things in processing. His presentation was very helpful to make me think of my final project for the Creative Computing class.

The final project attached is revised flash final but some of the revisions i have to made, like the opacity of the frying pan,
i had technical problems so i couldn’t make a perfect revisions. Also the final project linked in my blog, the players can finish
the game after they kill 2 cockroaches in order to show the ending easier but in the real game, you would have to kill 10 of them
to finish the game. Players have to aim the center of the cockroach and the frying pan in order to kill them.

Prototype Project Concept

1.Find Restricted calls

Find where the restricted or unknown call came from, or the owner of the phone.

Also can call back when pressed call button.

2. Notepad

Recognized by the voice and writes  stuff. Also when I write something on the blank sheet of paper, and then I take a picture with iphone then if open in the note pad, it recognizes the shape of the text and shows it as text. It’s possible to save it. It reads you the book, if you download a book and open it in the notepad

3. Game connector

If you save your friend’s number to the application and after they confirm it, both of the players can play the game together. Like in car race, tetris and so on. (the ones that are allows you to play more then two ppl)

My Everyday Object

glasses

This object is used for my daily needs. I sometimes wear contact lens but only when i go outside for special days or whenever i want to look clean.Usually, i wear glasses to school everyday since the contact lens are not feeling so comfortable for my eyes. The first thing i do when i get back home is taking off my contact lens and wearing glasses. This pair of glasses can be so useful for me to see something clear but it’s very annoying how i have to clean the lens every time when it gets blurry. And sometimes my ears and nose are hurting plus getting sweaty. Maybe making the glasses in rubber will solve the problem.
