ISSUE 1: FIGURE OUT WHAT MEMORY PEOPLE WANT TO REMEMBER
- When and what do you want to remember recently?
I want to remember my baby’s movements that I felt recently.
- Have you ever experienced feeling frustrated trying to remember something?
If I can’t remember the author of a book, I can’t talk about the book with someone. This is very frustrating to me.
- Have you ever experienced memory loss? If so, how often? (once per month…) What did you want to recall at that time?
Yes, one or two times per a week. I often forget people’s name. For example, I never forget the name of my family, like mother and my brother. But I often forget the name of persons who I met just a few times.

ISSUE 2: GATHER EXAMPLES ABOUT HOW TO REMEMBER
- How do you recall your memory? (diary, note, memo, computer…)
I usually use a notebook to remember something and read again and again to remember. I think our brain could develop depending on our job or career. I heard a story about that. In London, the street names are very complex and difficult to remember. However, the taxi drivers in London remember almost every street name exactly. A scientist researched this phenomenon and dissected the brain of a taxi driver who worked over 50 years in London. He found an interesting truth that the specific part of his brain was bigger and more developed than most people’s brains.
- Why did you post many pictures in the wall?
These are pictures of my my nephew who is in Germany. I don’t want to forget his face because I haven’t seen him for a while. But he’s growing very fast. So, I remember his face from the past memory.
- What are the problems you have remembering things?
Before, I tried to remember people’s names by writing the name in a notebook and memorizing the name by repeating it again and again. But I gave up this way because it was such a hassle and not effective.

ISSUE 3: GATHER OPINOIN ABOUT RECORDING PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
- If you could remember your entire life, what memory would you want to recall later? Why?
I want to recall some event which, I think, is very important. But if we can save entire life, categorization is very important. How can we find specific information among numerous memories?
- Do you have any idea how to develop a future memory device?
If I just talk to remember something and save if would be, it would be very convenient.
