Core: Lab Blog – Spring 2010
Apr 23rd
My final project for Core: Studio is to create a site that entices users to take action against international crises whether it be through donating to a relief organization or posting on a link on facebook. The site would also allow users to track how their actions were helping the cause (they would be able to see how many people visited the site from their facebook posts, gave money, etc).
I would like my final project for Lab to work on an interactive Flash map to accompany the site. The map would allow users to toggle certain types of crises and view information based on geographical location.
Some similar ideas I found on the web:

I made a simple shape that moves, stretches, contorts, and disappears in response to button clicks.
