Andrea Dezsö: Ishigaki Jima Sketchbook
I started this sketchbook on the island of Ishigaki Jima, Okinawa prefecture, Japan in 2008, then contuinued to work in it on the island of Hawaii and in New York City in 2009. Pen with black and gray permanent ink and colored brush-pen.

In it I drew things I found: broken shells, seeds, plants, dead crabs. I looked inside broken shells and drew their inner structures, sketched sun-dried crabs whith perfectly working joints and odd-shaped mysterious seeds. This book is larger than my regular Moleskine or Muji sketchbooks. © Andrea Dezsö
