Max MSP Jitter Ms Pinky is graphical environment for music, audio, and multimedia. It's application is a way to make computer reflect my ideas and dreams.

Journal Entry # 4 April 15, 2008: After breaking it down I kept running to problems. These problems were to put files for external objects, patches, and so called 3rd Parties. Ms Pinky is the '3rd Party' which means the first and second parties can talk to the 3rd Parties but their party isses should be taken up with the developer. So I've beeen lounging at the Ms Pinky Forum which is really helpful. Asking questions is how to learn Ms. Pinky globally. Also I learned I should not have two of the same files in the same foler. MAX doesn't like this at all and makes 'errors.'

Journal Entry #3 March 23, 2008: I had all these big ideas and projected projects in my head and on paper, then I realized that I needed to break it down in smaller pieces. I also realized that I should focus on Jitter and video work more than MSP, audio work because this teacher - Anton Marini - has a very strong background in video, film, and visuals 20 times more than audio. So moving on , these small pieces I had to break apart and replace them with jitter objects such as jit.qt.movie, jit.qt.record, and jit.chromakey. These are basic Jitter objects. By the end of the semester, I would like to be familar with all the Jitter objects.

Journal Entry #2 February 27, 2008: MAX Msp is starting to make sense to me. It's just getting familar with the programming language. It's also becoming familar with how information flows through the patches. This is important to understand. This concept is similar to signal flow in audio engineering. The object and message concept is starts to make sense when I try it out. Another thing that I found useful is making sub patches which cleans up the patch.

Journal Entry # 1 February 1, 2008: This program requires lots of patience. There are many concepts built in. I really think I should spend at least an hour a day playing around with this program. It seems I can make anything with this. If I only knew what every tool did. It's like learning a new language. You gotta use it every day. It's something I can get easily lost in and lose track of time.
