FabLab mobile ecosystem sketches

Here’s one conception of what our pet project might look like.  It utilizes the traditional trike cart as a platform for creating a mobile urban oasis with music, interactive art from found objects, seating, and possibly eco-friendly merchandise. We are interested in collecting data on more than one of these, tracking both the interactions between [...]

Week 2, Day 1 – classes full-force

I came across these tiny little shoes at the antique market and couldn’t help the pervasive distaste and social bias that comes with the whole strange practice of foot-binding. On Thursday we went to the Llama Temple and [...]

Day 2: By Twist’s Place

Input: This is a shot of the courtyard leading to Twist’s place at dusk. I like the random assortment of objects. It is very lived in, and it looks as if it’s been lived in for ages. He has lived here for around 15 years and indicates that rent is somewhere in the neighborhood of [...]

Input: Day 01

We passed a small residential area where people were collecting materials such as card boards, plastic bags, pieces of woods, etc. They live just one block away from the enormous modern banks and financial buildings.

We saw this car on the way to go to the subway station. Looked curious.
